In recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of and severity of disasters around the world. Members of the ONSite team now volunteer their time with Humanity First, an international humanitarian aid agency, based in Toronto, Ontario.
Members of the ONSite team provide a number of services with Humanity First, including Louisa, Devin, Amber and Trevor providing logistics and warehouse management at home, right through to on the ground disaster response.
To date, ONSite team members have responded to several disasters. Trevor went to Super Typhoon Haiyan in The Philippines; Al and Trevor headed south to Hurricane Harvey in Houston Texas; and most recently Devin and Trevor worked with Humanity First after Hurricane Dorian in The Bahamas.
As well, Amber and Trevor have played a key role in the ongoing process of Humanity First attaining World Health Organization certification as an Emergency Medical Team.
